How to Observe
कठोर उपवास रखें (निर्जला या फलाहार)। रात भर जागें (जागरण)। चार प्रहरों में शिवलिंग पर बेलपत्र, दूध, जल और शहद चढ़ाएँ। "ओम नमः शिवाय" का जाप करें।
Significance
वर्ष की सबसे अन्धकारमय रात्रि — अन्धकार और अज्ञान पर विजय का प्रतीक। इस रात्रि शिव की ऊर्जा सर्वाधिक सुलभ मानी जाती है।
