How to Observe
चारि दिनक कठोर उत्सव: पहिल दिन (नहाय खाय) — पवित्र स्नान आ एक भोजन; दोसर दिन (खरना) — दिनभरि उपवास, सूर्यास्त बाद खीर-रोटी; तेसर दिन (सन्ध्या अर्घ्य) — नदी वा तालाब मे ठाढ़ भऽ कऽ डूबैत सूर्य केँ अर्घ्य; चौथ दिन (उषा अर्घ्य) — उगैत सूर्य केँ अर्घ्य।
Significance
छठ एकमात्र वैदिक उत्सव अछि जे सूर्य कऽ जीवनदायी शक्ति कऽ उपासना केँ समर्पित अछि। ई बिहार, झारखण्ड आ पूर्वी उत्तर प्रदेश कऽ सबसँ महत्वपूर्ण त्योहार अछि।
