Mundane astrology is the branch of Vedic Jyotish concerned with nations, world events, and collective human experience. Rather than interpreting an individual birth chart, it reads the founding chart of a nation (its "birth" when it declared independence or was constituted), then applies current planetary transits to forecast trends across twelve domains of national life — from government and economy to public health and foreign relations.
