Shukra (Venus)

Bathe with fragrant water (add rose petals or sandalwood). Wear clean white silk or cotton clothes. Apply sandalwood paste and a touch of perfume.

Sit facing east. Hold water with white flowers and perfume in the right palm. State your name, gotra, and intention to pacify Shukra graha.

Fill a silver or clean steel vessel with water and ghee drops. Add white flowers and a silver coin. Place on a bed of rice grains covered with white silk cloth.

Invoke Shukra Deva by lighting ghee lamp and camphor. Offer white fragrant flowers and sprinkle perfume. Recite "Om Shukraya Namah" three times.

Chant the Shukra Beej Mantra 16,000 times (or 108 times minimum). Use a sphatik (crystal) or diamond mala. Meditate on a brilliant white orb of beauty and harmony.

If possible, perform a small homa with ghee and sandalwood sticks. Offer rice and white flowers into the fire while chanting the Shukra Gayatri.

Donate rice and white cloth (preferably silk) to a married woman or the needy. Gifting cosmetics, perfume, or white items is also auspicious for Shukra shanti.

Pray to Shukra Deva and Goddess Lakshmi for marital bliss, beauty, and material comfort. Perform namaskar and distribute fragrant prasad.
