Mangal Dosha — Mars in Marriage Houses

Mangal Dosha (also called Kuja Dosha or being “Manglik”) occurs when Mars occupies the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th, or 12th house from the Lagna (Ascendant), Moon, or Venus.
